More Waterfalls of Shenandoah National Park
Ok, this weekend is our Shenandoah National Park spring workshop and I am getting really excited about it. I have been in the park on 3 separate occasions over the past week and a half and with all the wet weather the waterfalls and streams have been absolutely exceptional! The weather forecast is calling for thunderstorms and rain on Thursday so I will definitely be out on the streams shooting waterfalls during the day and will hope for some dramatic light at sunset from one of the rocky summits in the park. I meet the group Friday afternoon and after a short intro and slide show, we will head off to Dark Hollow Falls and end the day with a sunset shoot from either Little Stony Man cliffs or the Hawksbill Summit. We’ll see what the weather does?
On Saturday morning we will all have to rise really early as we will be making the long haul down Skyline Drive to walk out onto Black Rock summit for sunrise. After that I am going to take the group on a little road trip down to White Oak Canyon in the afternoon to shoot Lower Whiteoak Falls and Cedar Run Falls. In the afternoon we will work Skyline Drive until sunset. Who knows what will happen on Sunday, but I have some secret spots to get the workshop into and hopefully we will be greeted with a dramatic sunrise and end on an equally dramatic sunset shoot. We still have 1 space available, so if anyone is interested please click here for registration details:
Here are a few more shots from the last couple of shoots in the park. Enjoy!
