West Virginia: A Winter Wonderland
Got into Blackwater Falls last night around 9pm after a 6 hour drive, usually only takes 3.5 hours! As soon as I hit Cumberland, it was blizzard conditions the rest of the way. The good news, it snowed almost 8 inches overnight and has continued to snow all day long. In fact, it’s still snowing and they are forecasting a few more inches over night. That’s like 1.5 feet of snow. Just in time too, as the West Virgina Winter Workshop starts tomorrow at 12noon. Its going to be a great 3 days of winter shooting in one of the most beautiful environments in the Mid Atlantic. I can’t wait!
I got up at dawn today and spent 9 hours shooting waterfalls, woods and stream scenes, as well as scouting locations for this weekend.
Here are some pics. Enjoy.
