Introducing Online Photo Classes !

Learn to shoot like a pro from the convenience of your own home with our online photo classes ! 

Our online courses combine written lessons, assignments and personal critiques of your work over the span of 4 weeks. Each class is tailored to teach the student proven photographic techniques, tips/tricks and invaluable feedback on your photographs. Online photo classes are open to photographers of all skill levels regardless of where you live. These classes are designed to fit into your personal and professional schedules and you may study up on the lesson plan and complete the photo assignments when its best for you!

Each week you will receive a PDF lesson plan via email which you can complete on your computer or print it out. You will have 10 days to study the lesson plan and finish your weekly photographic assignment. After each weeks lesson is complete, you will email your photographs to Joe for a thoughtful critique, tips, and suggestions for improving your images. You will also be provided with email support from Joe over the length of the 4 week course. 

Course: Capturing the Grand Landscape
Skill Level: Intermediate to Advanced
Start Date: October 6, 2008
Registration Deadline: September 29, 2008 / Limit of 15 students
Cost: $139.00 per person

Capturing the Grand Landscape focuses on building the elemental skills for shooting wide angle dramatic landscape scenics. Each lesson plan is designed to give the student an in-depth understanding of key photographic techniques such as depth-of-field, hyper-focal distance, composition, metering and use of filters for creating stunning landscape photographs. Each week you will receive your lesson plan and photographic assignment via email and will have 10 days to create your images and send them back for a personal image critique. As always, I will be available to answer your questions and address equipment problems over the course of the 4 week lesson.

Course: Photographing Wild Water
Skill Level: Moderate to Advanced
Start Date: September 1, 2008
Registration Deadline: August 29, 2008 / Limit of 15 students
Cost: $139.00 per person

This 4 week course will get your feet wet, literally and figuratively ! Learn how to make the best possible images of flowing water from wild beach scenes, waterfalls and intimate cascades. Each week we roll out a different lesson plan with techniques, tips/tricks and expert examples of how to make the best wild water images possible. Some of the areas covered in this course are shutter speed for different effects, depth and angle, white balance, composition, lens selection, field techniques, filters for enhancing your images and post processing. You must have a film or digital SLR and be familiar with aperture and shutter speed, metering, and know your camera’s settings. A circular polarizing filter and a set of Nuetral Density or Singh Ray Vari ND filter is highly recommended.
