Great Falls of the Potomac River is one of the scenic wonders of the Mid-Atlantic where kayakers and Great Blue Herons brave the thundering rapids of the Potomac River. we will have a weekend of grand landscape photography, wildflowers and waterfalls. Each morning we will head out to some of my secret locations along Mather Gorge. In the early morning, we will have a chance to photograph the wonderful display of wildflowers in Algonquian Park as well as small waterfalls and cascades along Difficult Run & Scott’s Run Preserve. As always the afternoon are filled with critiques and classroom work on post processing techniques. After a short break, we re enter the park to photograph Great Blue Herons and then finish each day chasing the light and clouds above thundering rapids and waterfalls in Mather Gorge.
